Good, friendly service. Good choice of vegetarian food and good sized portions. The food was well presented and tasty.
Parts of the meal missing and to top it off moldy cheese, Sent back but hardly an apology offered didn't seem to really care just told us the chef' must be having a bad day, sorry not good enough and then a very curt waitress when paying the bill. Shame because its a lovely place but staffs attitude left a lot to be desired.
Lovely surroundings and friendly staff. If your in the area, its a great place to refresh yourself, read a book or watch the world go by
Such a lovely pub/restaurantJust been refurbished and has a rustic country feel with super clean tables and bar with extensive alcohol range!!Cobb salad (lunch) was super good! Very filling and a very large range of salad items. Nachos were soooo good!!!!! Highly recommend. Reasonably priced Dogs welcomeToilets slightly dirty and could do with a refurb but they’re not awful.
Been here numerous occasions esp on a Sunday but yesterday was a very poor and frustrating visit. Perhaps the staff have all changed - it looked like & the 2 poor girls waiting on was rushed off their feet. Our food order was wrong, waiting times unacceptable, waited long time for dishes to be removed, then waited ages for deserts, again waiting to pay the bill so took it to the bar and commented to the (new) ? manager how poor the service, meat & wrong order was- he apologised. Wont be returning!
Great place to eat thoroughly recommended, wine good and Sunday dinner ace ( no room for pud) Tim had the fish and chips also fantastic
One fish and chips, together with a mushroom and chestnut pie later, two very full satisfied people. Good ale and wine choice.Thank you Andy and the team for ensuring an enjoyable lunch in beautiful
I chose the Falafel Burger with chunky chips. A great choice as it was amazing. The drinks list is extensive, in particular the gin list. I chose a rhubarb gin with ginger ale (recommended by the
Our four main meals were fish and chips, red lentil cottage pie, and chicken and leek pie. The meals were delicious, and the chef cooked the fish to requirements without batter. The meals were plentiful,
Both of us went for a pudding with jam roll poly and custard and sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream. Again they were delightful and not too large a portion. We were served with thought without
Came across this pub after visiting Lakeland Oasis (Fantiastic) to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and the pie sounded good, Wow Steak and Cheese pot pie (he had) was lovely, steaming hot, I had the Falafel

We were a party of 6 and enjoyed their New Zealand steak and cheese pie, mm.... Fish pie, mussels and a macaroni cheese for my grandson. Apple crumble with custard, sticky toffee pudding with clotted
Apple crumble with custard, sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream and specialty liqueur coffee. All reasonably priced and we must mention an excellent bar with local brews. We wish you well and hope
Definitely recommend the steak & cheese pie! Lots of character & beautifully refurbished. Will definitely return.
My wife had the mini-mixed grill, and I had the gammon steak. Both were excellent.
The sticky toffee pudding is to die for. On the second night we had a shared plate of local food and it was lovely. Good food and lovely staff x
Had the mixed grill here last night and I can honestly say I'm still stuffed this morning! As my friends will tell you I can really eat.. But for the first time I can remember I actually left chips on
