This is the cafe to call into in Grange over sands. The selection of drinks and cakes is second to none in quality and quantity. We never have time to eat a full meal but they always look excellent
Had breakfast at The Hazelmere cafe and bakery recently which was absolutely great.I had two poached eggs and my husband had the scrambled eggs both on wholemeal brown toast. The eggs were all cooked perfectly. We had one speciality tea and one Mocha, again both were good. The waitresses were friendly and we had a lovely table in the window.
Plenty of choice for tea and cake! Had a strawberry, caffeine free tea, which smelled and tasted amazing! Family-friendly atmosphere, perfect for a nice and cosy end of afternoon.
A friend and I do the odd trip up to Grange and the Hazlemere is the only place we ever consider eating. We had lunch on arrival (the steak and ale pie for me, the Cumberland sausage for my friend) and then came back for coffee later in the afternoon. We were lucky in that we decided on an early lunch when there were plenty of tables free but even during our meal, a queue had started to form. It's worth mentioning that other establishments in Grange were half empty! That in itself speaks volumes.
We were lucky enough to get a lovely outside table in the sunshine. There we enjoyed classic Hazelmere coffee and cakes. What a fabulous array, it was hard to choose! In the end, we went for chocolate florentine, millionaire shortbread and almond tart and needless to say weren't disappointed. Coffee excellent too.
In fact, we had a 'Seafood Platter', which came with a variety of fish and a portion of salad. For lunch, we ate our fill by dividing this in two. This was followed by a cafetière of coffee, which again
My seafood platter was delicious, and the salad full of different flavours.
Serving a range of fine foods from decadent cakes and slices to Ploughman's Lunch, fish cakes etc The Hazelmere is somewhere not to be missed. Overlooking Morecambe Bay and the beautiful Grange Over
Delicious fish cakes and fish goujons, amazing chips and a really tasty and filling super food salad were all enjoyed by our party, followed by the Hazelmere’s signature vanilla slices and Cumberland
We've had a variety of cakes and pastries such as vanilla slice, be eating, eccles cake, carrot cake, paradise slice and others and all are lovely
Two of us had sandwiches and the rest tried the Thai inspired fish cakes ... delicious, beautifully served and quality ingredients. They are renowned for their speciality range of teas but today we had
The carrot cake was not overly iced (which is how I like it) and the coffee came a shot which I could add my own hot water too.. Very nice staff and lovely sunny location!
It was delicious, as was the carrot cake which I had to replace the second Eccles Cake. Cassie looked after us very well. The staff are well trained, well presented and cheerful. Cassie was particularly
The roast beef and gammon were delicious and so was the sticky toffee pudding. Bought some of the heavenly vanilla slices to take home.
The fish and chips were served with mushy peas and bread and butter and were delicious. The puddings were a delight. The chocolate brownie was light and served with strawberries and ice cream and the
Leek and Stilton bake was equally delicious as was the fish and chips. Choice of small or large meals available with the small portions being very generous. Beautiful presentation of food, amazing cakes
Good fish n'chips served in quirky frying baskets ,huge seafood platter with nice salad. Prompt ,friendly service . Really getting to like this place. I think it's licensed for alcohol too. Highly recommended.
Fish and chips is excellent. Great coffee and specialist teas too.
The others had fish and chips, hot roast beef sandwich and scampi and chips. Plates were cleared -always a good sign and we finished our meal with some lovely cakes
friend ordered poached salmon with a shrimp sauce which she said was delicious, I went for the roast beef which was pink as I had asked for, loads of fiery horseradish sauce too. Too full for dessert
