Had the afternoon tea for 2 as a cost of £25 Cannot fault the quality of the food - howeverwasnot expectingMicro Portions. When thefood arrived I thought it was for one person and not two!!!Portions should be more generous for the price!!
Unfortunately my visit to the Bangor Cricket Club was for a wake. But that was the best food I've ever had at a wake. A large selection of tasty and well presented food. Highly recommended, don't wait for a wake before you visit!
We visit The Cricket Pavilionregularly, this visit was for the delicious breakfast which is a favourite of ours. FullWelsh / English , everything cooked to perfection as usual and plenty of freshly baked toast and butter and speciality tea or coffee. The friendly , helpful staff are always on hand to make sure all is well. Next time we are going to have the highly recommended afternoon tea , have seen it served at and it certainly looks tempting, dainty sandwiches ,cakes and sones, Perfect! The menu board of freshly cooked meals alsolooked very inviting, we will be back very soon for sure!
Just arrived home after eating afternoon tea at this establishment and feeling disappointed. We were in a party of 12 ladies who were looking forward to a nice tea after hearing favourable results. Every one of the ladies were disappionted with the meagre offerings - bitesize sandwiches and pieces of cake that you measured in mm all loaded together on a cakestand. This is definitely not the standard that we expected and felt it was a ripoff at £12.50 a head
Really inviting place with friendly staff. As a family with 9 year old twin boys we had afternoon tea and the selection provided was perfect! Great value and not rushed.
Would recommend the home made chicken curry - enjoyed by all dults and children. Great friendly service very family friendly.
The sausage roll was fantastic. Lovely and homemade food
I had a very large slice of chocolate orange cake (yummy). My much healthier friend has pea and ham soup which she said was really nice. Will visit again to sample more cakes!
We had a very flavoursome haddock and prawn chowder although I'd have preferred a nice fish stock as the base rather than just a dish of cream. Tasty fish though and a nice little walnut bread loaf with
My son had chicken curry with rice and ( obviously) a side of chips. The chicken pecees were enormous and the portion size just about defeated him ( not bad as he has hollow legs) I had the sweet
We had proper a proper china tea service and the food arrived on a traditional 3 tier stand, that sausage rolls and sandwiches were excellent , we polished them off very quickly and were then offered extra
(If you go for lunch try the lobster burger, it's melt in your mouth)
We had 4 different fillings in the triangle sandwiches, two leek and cheese Sausage roll things, coffee and walnut cake, lemon drizzle, meringue, lemon posset and a freshly baked scone with jam and clotted
Try the crab and lobster burger in a brioche bun - melts in your mouth. The menu does vary but everything is freshly cooked, and the service is super efficient, with the staff friendly and cheerful.
Today we had a lovely visit to the Cricket Club and had the most tastiest Curry around, Presented lovely, Lovely tender chicken, Chips and rice were cooked to perfection, Defo worth a visit.
Others had chowder, Leek and potato soup, a mezze platter, crab and lobster burger and garlic mushrooms on toast. All were declared delicious. We a=shall be going again!!!
We shared a lemon & lime drizzle cake and a chocolate brownie. Yum. The staff were helpful and friendly and we will definately be going back.
