A most enjoyable evening, food delicious and very good service. Made to feel very welcome by all the staff. A unique location with its link to Swallows & Amazon’s.
Had an amazing meal here on our last night in Coniston. Quality of food was superb and in a lovely setting with a friendly, chatty host- felt right at home. Sat outside for coffee and the views of Coniston lake were outstanding, a perfect way to end our stay in Coniston. A good 30 minutes to walk there, but well worth it and we will be back. ( you can drive) Thanks for a lovely evening.
Superb location, outstanding service and fantastic food, so good we’ve booked to come back again next week. Not cheap but for a special treat it’s worth it. A hidden gem away from the main touristy areas.
Enjoyed a lovely meal at Bank Ground with friends and work colleagues. The food was beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. Fresh ingredients, my favourite was the homemade pesto. So lovely to eat it outside with the most stunning setting and views. A huge thumbs up from me for your chefs creating a menu that caters for food allergies too, especially gluten-free meals, that STILL taste amazing. I'll definitely be back.
A fabulous find, in fact I’m reluctantly writing this review as I don’t want it to change!! A family farm that has b&b rooms, self catering cottages, a tearoom and a restaurant.Compared to the poor overpriced food we normally experience in the lakes this is a breath of fresh air... meat raised on the farm and every thing we tried was fantastic quality. The great veggie choice was surprising and the welcome was wonderful. After 10 years of coming to the lakes we have a new favourite.Well done, you have a fabulous place!Don’t expect flash, expect quality, authenticity and friendly and don’t tell everyone
We ordered Twinings tea with courgette cake for my wife and ginger cake for me, to finish off with... absolutely perfect ginger cake. All this for £20!! I've been to loads of coffee shops/tea rooms
Craig showed us round to the back of the property where we enjoyed a pot of tea and shared a piece of delicious home made ginger cake. Wonderful views of the lake and a pathway leading down to the lake
I had the lamb cutlets, which are apparently from the farm, so zero food miles, and they were very tasty, as were the roast potatoes with them. Everyone else enjoyed their sandwiches.
Tried the carrot cake, chocolate brownie and bake well tart. All very good. Will have to try the courgette cake next time! We recommend this place to visitors and will come again. An important pilgrimage
Between us, we ordered sandwiches, coffee, hot chocolate for the children and they also had the most delicious homemade ginger cake and chocolate brownie. The service was fast and efficient and the food
I had slow roasted lamb with feta, spinach and other wonderful flavours. It was delicious and the portion was just right. My husband had the steak and ale pie which was a generous size and also delicious.
A busy bank holiday weekend but still lots of space and good service in this quaint and quirky tearoom with stunning views and excellent carrot cake!
We enjoyed a delicious carrot cake and lovely views.
The roast lamb was perfect. Sticky toffee banana pudding rounded off an excellent experience. Chocolate brownie and homemade raspberry ice was enough to make us want to return soon. The house wines
We went for lunch and had the fish cakes or the burger. Both tasted great and were served with really nice salad which had a fantastic sesame oil with it. The tea was also nice and strong. A meal for
I had home made (huge)fish cakes with salad followed by courgette and lime cake. Scrumptious.
The banoffee pie and the egg sandwiches were literally good enough to call my family back home about.
The banoffee pie was gorgeous and the lemon drizzle cake delicious. After a walk around Coniston it's worth paying a visit. The service was very friendly in this very special place, will go back.
I only wish I had cut a bigger slice of banoffee pie - it was delicious! and of course it enjoys a lakeside position.
