We've been visiting here for years and we've never been disappointed the food is always delicious, the staff are always welcoming & their collection of cakes are amazing. Definitely worth a trip.
Although it was not the first time we have had afternoon tea at Edenshine we had not been for about six months. The standard of presentation and quality was first class and as good as ever. We choseham sandwiches and cheese and pickle excellent and it was proper ham too. The sponge cakes and scone brilliant and the raspberry meringue wow factor. When asked by the friendly staff was everything alright ? we said beyond alright it was amazing which just about sums it up.Looking forward to our next visit.
Booked to eat lunch today (13/06/19) very warm welcome, staff were attentive and engaging, service was great. Excellent menu choice and the food was well presented, well cooked and tasty. Overall excellent. Will definitely visit again.
A lovely cafe with great food and friendly, helpful staff. The trout was delicious and the meringue desert scrumptious!
Having eaten here on many occasions we were looking forward to lunch with friends.Service was VERY slow.We sat at 1.30 but didn't get food until almost 2.30 p.m.It was busy but then it always is.Two of us had steak pie and in fairness the meat was lean and soft and beautifully cooked. However the pie was as tough as shoe leather.Never have had tough pastry but the knife wouldn't cut it.I had a date and walnut pudding with a spiced sweet sauce and cinammon ice cream which was utterly fabulous but hubby had rhubarb crumble which he was disappointed with.He says it wasn't a proper crumble. We'll definitely go back as we've never before had cause to winge.Warning - if you go for lunch, particularly if there's more than two of you, you are better to book first.
My husbands triple slice sandwich was deep filled with lovely ham and chicken and plenty of salad. The cakes also looked lovely but our savoury plates were so filling we could not face them. The afternoon
I had the beef stroganoff - an excellent balance of flavours with tender beef. Rice was freshly cooked. Had to wait while fish and rice were cooked but the wait was worthwhile to enjoy such fresh food.
I chose baked trout and was presented with a large trout with a generous garnish of flaked almonds, the whole accompanied with new potatoes and freshly prepared seasonal vegetables. The dish had clearly
We chose baked potato with tuna and also ham and cheese ploughmans. My baked potato was excellent with tuna and also salad and coleslaw. My husband enjoyed the ploughmans but for me the cheeses
Came here Saturday afternoon my sister says best Welsh rarebit ever and would come back just for that. Although then she saw afternoon tea that someone else was having so sweet it had a tiered cake stand
My friend had the chicken sandwich and she enjoyed it too. The best part of the meal to me was the Sherry Trifle. Absolutely gorgeous! I hightly recommend it! I did notice another table being served
Hot beef sandwiches a bit disappointing as seemed to be simply thin slices of beef warmed up,rather than cut from a hot roast joint. However cakes and trifles on display looked very tempting. Very pleasant
Excellent Welsh rarebit, tastily presented and much more than just a light bite. Hot beef sandwiches a bit disappointing as seemed to be simply thin slices of beef warmed up,rather than cut from a hot
The sweet selection is to die for and all home made so we were told - it did all look fantastic but we left it at a warm beef sandwich. Surprisingly busy for a late mid-week afternoon too,it must have
