We visited for a carvery today and were very impressed, despite an error on my part with the date ( discovered after we had begun eating) the staff were so polite and accommodating and the food was all beautifully cooked. Good choice of starters, patè in particular was delicious, well cooked meats with a good selection of veg served by a friendly, cheerful chef. Again, a good selection of deserts and my son was delighted with the ice cream and its selection of toppings, the waiter and waitress were so attentive and polite and we cannot wait to return. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks to all for a lovely meal from start to finish.
We were staying at the Village Hotel and decided to eat in their restaurant on the first night. There was a choice of a set menu or a la carte and we decided on the latter.Although it is advertised as an Italian restaurant this isn't reflected in the menu which is really international - not many Italians serve teryaki salmon, piri piri chicken, BBQ pork etc., however there were some pasta dishes. To start we chose chicken lollipops (delicious) and fritto misto (good but some elements were too heavily battered). These were followed by a sirloin steak (perfectly cooked) and chicken carbonara (unusual but enjoyable). From the rather limited wine list (which also wasn't very Italian) we found a nice Rioja at a reasonable price. Our Australian waitress was brilliant throughout - chatty, attentive and quick to clear, just what you hope for. Overall a pleasant experience but don't go expecting much of an Italian menu.

Decided to have a break from cooking Sunday roast, so chose to go here.We booked on line for 3.45.At no point were we told that this was the end of the carvery service. The restaurant was not busy, and yet I had to go in search of a waitress to order drinks. The starter section was depleted to say the least, however the actual carvery wasn't bad.Beef, turkey and ham, plenty of veg, Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, stuffing, roast and mashed potatoes and gravy, all of which was well cooked. We then went to get our pudding, which were virtually non existent apart from some fruit salad and waffles, which looked as if they had been there most of the afternoon .I had seen diners at another table being offered apple crumble and custard, so again I went in search of a waitress and we were finally served very dried up crumble with a drizzle of custard. All in all not the best dining experience.Even ifit was the end of service , we paid the same as if we had arrived at the beginning and should have had the same choice.Certainly won't be going back or recommending
Went in on my own after work for a quick bite to eat. Chose one of the healthy options warm spinach and grilled chicken my 1st observance it looked rather small, lacked extra spinach and salad, however I ordered a side order of sweet potato fries (less healthy) very tasty, the dish was delicious and was the perfect amount of food with the added fries. I feel it is slightly over priced at £18 so I think it should of included a side order or be £15 but all the same the staff were helpful and although it took a little time to arrive was worth the wait. I have been before and would go again.
We were staying at the hotel that Buca di Beppo is attached to and having eaten here before decided to go again!I’m so pleased that we did. The service was outstanding and the food well all I can say is wow!I had the red pepper and tomato soup and it was so good. Definitely homemade and made very well it was too. For mains I had fillet steak with sweet potato fries. We also had greens and bacon and garlic mushrooms as side dishes. My steak was cooked perfectly and was just the right size. The garlic mushrooms we absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend them! All in all a very enjoyable evening and we will 100% be back!!!
Food was very good, I’d read some of the reviews not knowing what to expect but my chicken carbonara was good and not greasy in anyway. Iv had a lot lot worse at reputable high end restaurants and paid
Chicken lollipops and garlic brad starts lovely. Staff very lovely though. Overpriced
We decided to share all our food which is one of the great things about buca and ordered garlic bread with cheese and caesar salad to start, they arrived in good timeand the garlic bread was made with
